15 million U.S. dollars for structural reforms
Washington (MINA-BUSINESS) - The World Bank has said that it was considering granting a 15 million structural adjustment credit for Montenegrin reforms, as part of its credit support to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the financial institution said during a two-day visit of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic to Washington. The credit support is aimed at resolving fiscal and public spending problems, at reforming the pension system, the power sector, the labour market and business environment, and eliminating obstacles to economic growth. A World Bank delegation is due to arrive in Montenegro in May to assess the programme of structural reforms and submit findings to the board of directors for the credit approval.
