The initiative, which marks the first systematic effort to digitize Montenegro’s cultural heritage, has been carried out through the Ministry of Tourism and UNIDO project titled “Driving the Transition to Tourism Industry 4.0 Powered by Digital Technologies”.
As explained, the project marks an important step in connecting cultural heritage, tourism, and digital innovation.
Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic said the project combines knowledge, experience, information technology, culture, and heritage in a new and creative way.
The selected sites, which citizens will now be able to explore through modern digital reconstructions, were chosen deliberately to represent Montenegro’s northern, central, and coastal regions.
