About 300,000 EUR for purchase of dairy equipment
European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) has signed today with two companies the contract on purchase of modern equipment for Montenegrin farmers worth more than 290,000 EUR. As it has been announced, company Hemma from Novi Sad would procure 290 movable and 10 fixed milking machines and spare parts for their equipment as well as 750 milking pails worth more than 215,000 EUR. Company Delaval East Europe would deliver 44 lactofreezers of 200 and two of 500 litres with spare parts, worth more than 75,000 EUR. The equipment would be delivered to the central warehouse in Podgorica within next two months. The selected group of farmers would get this equipment on credit, and the money obtained from payment of credits would be used for a fund for future purchases of agricultural equipment. Contracts have been signed as a part of EAR program that aims at increasing of milk production in Montenegro with procurement of milk cooling equipment worth 2.3 million EUR. EAR states that this program would assist the farmers in increasing of their production, quality of milk and modernization of milk purchase, which would result in better market supplies.
