Action against illegal transport would last 30 days more

Action against illegal transport would last 30 days more
Representatives of municipal inspection services and traffic police would continue in the next 30 days the intensive action of elimination of illegal transport of passengers in Podgorica. This has been agreed at today#s meeting of transport companies. As it has been announced from the cabinet of the Mayor of Podgorica, after this period of time elapses, competent institutions would decide whether elimination of illegal transport would be continued. Inspectors of the Secretariat for traffic would control the transport of passengers with vans in city lines. Competent services of the Secretariat for traffic have taken away 28 vehicles in the last 15 days, whose owners illegally transported passengers in the city and outlying traffic. Traffic police has declared more than 40 fines for improper stopping at bus stations in the period March 11 - 14, while Ministry of traffic and maritime affairs initiated two procedures against illegal van drivers in inter-city traffic. It has also been agreed to organize the survey on attitude of citizens on activities of the Town Transport Company, while the results would be analysed at the round-table discussion by competent institutions.
