Beri-Prom: Increased turnover - decreased profit
Podgorica, (Montena-business)- The Beri-Prom Company from Podgorica, which does wholesale of food products and household chemistry, despite of increased turnover of goods has decreased its profit caused by a general price reduction of these goods at the market. One of the company#s main problems is lacking collection of claims older than 150 days. According to the director of this company, Zdenko Cetkovic, one-month old claims today are DEM 77,000 and should already have been collected. "The goods turnover for 11 months of this year was increased by 3% comparing to the same period of last year, but the financial result was decreased by 15 to 20% because of reduction of prices" said Cetkovic. Beri-Prom is supplied with goods from the Bambi Company, the Soko-Stark Company and the Pionir Company, while household chemical products are ordered at the Albus Company from Serbia. As Cetkovic said, on the buyer#s list of this company are about 500 retail shops from Podgorica, Niksic, Cetinje and Danilovgrad. Beri-Prom was founded in June 1999, and it employs 10 workers. On the Rating List of the most profitable small companies in Montenegro, made by the Centre for Enterprise, the company took the 14th place. av/bd
