Bulatovic: Disunity in CITUM Makes Realisation of Requests Harder
Podgorica, (Montena-business)- By leaving the CITUM (Confederation of Independent Trade Union of Montenegro) the educational organisations will make their requests harder to realise, the president of Republic Educational CITUM, Svetozar Bulatovic said. Commenting the decision of the Electro technical school’s members to go out from the CITUM and join the Independent Union from Niksic, Bulatovic said to Montena-business that every CITUM organization had the right to understand strike at it’s way and had freedom to communicate with employees. “Experience from organizing the general strike shows that a strike doesn’t make reaching the results easier. Without union in the CITUM there is no realisation of the requests of educational employees” said Bulatovic. Bulatovic said that he didn’t understand the decision of the Union’s members from the Electro technical school, because their attitudes about material status of educational employees were identical to the CITUM’s attitude. There is no reason for splitting up the employees in educational sector, but the CITUM will respect every such decision” said Bulatovic. “The general strike about changing and respecting the collective agreement and paying off unpaid salaries is not possible, as the negotiations between the Educational Union’s Commission and the Minister of Education Predrag Ivanovic, were not successful” added Bulatovic and repeated that by the New Year, the decision about the form of protest would be known.
