Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to its representatives, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) has intensified activities to prepare the power grid for the beginning of the summer tourist season, adapting it to changing operating conditions and a higher number of users.
They stated that preventive maintenance of power facilities is being carried out in accordance with this year's Maintenance Plan, which requires a high level of engagement from employees in the network maintenance sectors.
The activities began immediately after the New Year and Christmas holidays and are being conducted at an intensive pace to ensure completion before the summer season starts.
The activities include inspections, testing, overhauls, and servicing of equipment, as well as protection, control, and signalling devices.
At the primary network level, CEDIS has completed route mapping and geodetic surveying of 10 kV and 35 kV underground cable lines throughout Montenegro, creating an up-to-date technical database that enables more efficient network management, reduced outage recovery times, and improved planning of future investments.
