Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) said on Monday it had sold at an auction on April 30 forty percent of a 2.0 million euro issue of state treasury bills. The bills, of 56-day maturity, were sold at an average interest rate of 6.88 percent a year. The central bank sells the bills on behalf of and for the account of the Government of Montenegro, whose treasury uses the money to finance its short-term liquidity.
