Concept finished, response maybe in two days
Montenegrin ministry of maritime and traffic will wait for response of Serbian colleagues on proposal on ownership over the airports in Tivat and Podgorica for at least two more days, was announced from Ministry of traffic and telecommunication of Serbia. Negotiations of two ministries on Montenegrin airports were held by the end of February in Budva and it was agreed Serbian party in seven days time to sent, in a written form, their position on resolving the problem of state status of those airports. Response to Montenegrin proposal should have been defined after consultations of the competent Serbian Ministry with Yugoslav airline transport (JAT) and Minster Marija Raseta Vukosavljevic announced that it would be sent to Podgorica till the end of last week. "Concept of response to proposal of Montenegrin Ministry of maritime and traffic has been finished but is necessary to put final touches on some of its details. It will be forwarded to Montenegro at shortest possible time", said manager for public relations of Ministry of traffic and telecommunications Jelena Kovacevic. She explained that it could happen in couple of following days that is till the end of this week. Representatives of Serbian Ministry of traffic could say nothing on the details of response on proposed solutions. It was announced earlier that JAT would agree to correct its value estimation and the requested part of ownership, and that Serbian government did not agree to joint managing the airports nor to major ownership of Montenegro. By the end of February Montenegrin Ministry proposed joint managing the airports in Podgorica and Tivat with major ownership of Public firm Airports of Montenegro and estimated value that was by approximately 33 million USD lower then the one proposed by JAT. JAT owns airport in Tivat and part of the airport in Podgorica together with the FRY army, which is major proprietor.
