Ekos bank has converted 10,3 million EUR in nine weeks of converting currencies of 12 European countries into Euro. However, citizens put nothing on their savings accounts, has been announced from this financial institution.
General director assistant Ljiljana Micunovic said for Mina-business that most of the totally converted amount was related to DM and approximately 1,7 thousand EUR to Italian lira, Austrian shillings and French franks.
"Total amount has been converted without provision since sums of 10 thousand DM have been converted and nothing of that money remained in banks", said Micunovic.
According to her, Ekos Banks successfully finished conversion and with no more significant problems.
Branch office of Ekos bank from Rozaje coveted approximately 17,5 % or 1,54 million EUR while the rest was converted in the main office in Podgroica.
Conversion initiated on 23 January in this bank, soon after it had obtained license form Central bank of Montenegro to which it returned approximately 5000 EUR of the taken advanced payment.
