Association of a cooperative of Montenegro will distribute to agricultural producers over 9500 tons of mineral fertilizer that is half of the amount donated by the Japanese government to the Montenegrin one, was announced at the pres conference of ministry of agriculture. "Approximately 20 thousand of farmers will get mineral fertilizer through their cooperatives and the criteria according to which they are to obtain fertilizer is possessing of cultivable soil. The price of fertilizer will be by 20% lower then the current wholesales price and it will amount to 12 EUR per 50 kilos, that is 240 EUR per a tone", was announced by the representative of the association of a cooperative Branimir Vujacic. He has signed the agreement with minister of agriculture Milutin Simovic today. According to this contact this Association is supposed to distribute 50% of the total amount of mineral fertilizer donated by the Japanese Government. According to Simovic, whole donation is 2,4 million DM worth and 900 thousand of it is intended for fertilizer and 1,5 for acquisition of the mechanization. "Fertilizer has already been delivered and stored in Podgorica and Bijelo Polje. Money from its sale will be returned to permanent working fund from which farmers will again be credited", said Simovic. As far as the mechanization was concerned he has said that till mid of this year 28 up to 30 tractors, 50 motor-cultivators and 80 mowers will be bought from the money intended for acquisition of mechanization. Simovic has also added that farmers will be allowed to buy the mechanization on credit that is also to be retuned into the working fund. He has said that half of mineral fertilizer will probably be distributed to associations of agricultural producers.
