Distributive center, with sectors for fruit and vegetable processing is to be completed by the end of the year, said the director of the Agency of Public Works, Miodrag Raicevic, after his visit to the agri-industrial zone. “Last year we invested 1.3 million DEM in this building, and we are planning to invest 2.1 million DEM more this year”. He also added that these means were provided owing to the American assistance for development of agriculture in Montenegro. Minister of agriculture and forestry, Milutin Simovic, also visited the Center and said that the negotiations with interested foreign partners on investment in technical assistance were underway. According to him, a shareholder company is to be founded whose owners would be agriculturists. “This company would buy up the products from farmers, and offer them on domestic and foreign market”, said Simovic. He also said that the unsold surplus would be processed to final products in the Distributive Center, which would play a significant role in development of primary agriculture. The contractor of the work is “Trudbenik” company from Belgrade, in cooperation with “Neimar engineering” from Podgorica.
