Djukanovic: Dinar in Montenegro incase it becomes convertible
In case dinar becomes convertible as predicted by the director of the National bank of Yugoslavia Mladjan Dinkic, then it will be accepted on Montenegrin market, has stated Montenegrin president Milo Djukanovic today. “Montenegro is a state that intercedes in favor of an open market where, in accordance with the current conditions of banking, there will be place for all the currencies that are convertible. In case dinar is stabile currency, like American dollar or Swiss frank, then it will certainly be present in Montenegro along with Euro”, stated Djukanovic after today’s presentation of electronic market capital. According to him, Montenegro has entered European Monetary system in its own specific way that differs from the countries members of the EU. “Thanks to a brave act we made few years ago when we exchanged a worthless hyperinflation dinar with German mark, we fulfilled condition for introduction of a untied European currency. That is why today we use conveniences in the European Monetary Union”, estimated Djukanovic.
