Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) – The reconstructed anode factory will reduce the foreign trade deficit and import dependency, increasing exports from Montenegro, president of the republic Milo Djukanovic said. "The quality of aluminium and the production at the anode factory will improve, allowing a better price on the world markets. This will bring Montenegro positive financial results and the reduction of deficits," Djukanovic said. The anode factory was reconstructed by the Anotech-Vektra enterprise, set up by Vektra from Podgorica, CTI from Miami and Venco from Houston. Anotech-Vektra invested 25 million U.S. dollars in the reconstruction of the plant which it had leased for a seven year period. Anotech-Vektra expects to make a profit of 7.5 million dollars during the period.
