Djurisic: Montenegro Airlines plans a 25 percent increase in turnover
Budva (MINA-BUSINESS) - Montenegro Airlines expects around 100,000 holiday makers to travel with it during the forthcoming summer season, with total passenger flight turnover rising between 20 and 25 percent on the same period last year. Director of the carrier Zoran Djurisic said in Budva on Sunday that the Montenegro Airlines planned to introduce new international lines between Zurich and Belgrade, Ljubljana and Belgrade and Podgorica - Rome. He said it was vital for Montenegro to quickly resolve a dispute over ownership issues with Serbian airlines JAT which claims ownership of two Montenegrin airports in Tivat and Podgorica. "These two airports are in a state of catastrophe because we do not own them. Once this issue is resolved, the government plans to invest in the reconstruction of the two airports 14 million euros," he said. The company plans to expand its fleet and buy a third aircraft, Fokker 100 with 105 seats.
