Tobacco Company from Podgorica (DKP) has reduced the retail prices of its cigarettes to the level they were at before last week’s increase in prices, stated the manager of the marketing of this company Darko Vujovic. “Reduction of prices is the result of adjustment of earlier and latest regulations on tax burden of excise products, support to the Government’s program for elimination of black economy and an attempt of preserving the life standard of consumers of our products,” said Vujovic. He added that details on decision on reduction of prices would be established at today’s meeting of the representatives of DKP and Ministry of finance. DKP increased the prices of its products for 40 – 50%, thus adjusting them with the present law on excises. The plant announced new increase in prices immediately after that increase.
