Economic situation, that is, unemployment and revitalization of industry of Montenegro is the most important issue for 51 percents of polled Montenegrin voters, states the National Democratic Institute for international affairs (NDI) in its survey.
The survey was conducted by Agency for public opinion surveys #Prizma# in the period March 7 - 12 on the pattern of more than 1,200 pollees from 21 municipalities of Montenegro. The NDI organized seven surveys in the last and this year and the last one would be conducted in April.
The most important issue for 51 percents of Montenegrin voters is still the economy that has the lead of 29 percents in comparison with other issues, which means that its importance has increased for 12 percents in comparison with the survey from February.
Twenty-two percents of voters stated that economy was the second important issue, while 23 percents said that it was state status.
Only 49 percents of polled voters believed that the Government would be successful in elimination of black economy, while 46 percents had confidence in efforts in revitalization of industrial production.
Present convocation of the Government is supported by 53 percents of voters, which is almost the same as in the February poll.
Voters also identified laws against corruption and depolitisation of the state administration as priorities of economic and democratic reforms. Among important issues there are privatisation and laws that enhance foreign investments, while reforms of the banking system are at the last place.
About two-thirds of polled voters believe that tourism can bring prosperity to Montenegro in the near future.
About 79 percents of pollees believes in success of introduction of Euro, while 59 percents believes in Government#s Master Plan for development of tourism. Reform of municipal authorities is supported by 56 percents of voters and 54 percents of them supports believes in efforts for provision of credits for development of small and big companies.
As regards the Parliament, 41 percents of pollees believe that its commission for establishing of facts, circumstances and writings of Croatian magazine "Nacional" would be successful.
