Ministry of work and social welfare has provided 5 thousand DM and Municipality of Kotor 1 thousand DM for each family from Kotor whose flats burned down in the fire that broke out on New Year#s Eve. It was said in the announcement of the municipal secretariat for culture and social activities, in which it was not precisely stated when the money had been provided nor whether it had been distributed, that Office for urban planning of Kotor received from Ministry of work ten thousand DM for working on the plan of renewal of the object that burnt down. Mayor of Kotor Nikola Konjevic said that municipality did not have money to finance construction of the new building but that it would be cleared from tax, contributions and recompenses. Families received help from Red Cross and municipality of Kotor opened the account of solidarity on which it was paid in over 3,3 thousand EUR. Houses of families Popovic, Djurovic, Zekovic and Pelevic in building K6 in suburb "St. Vasiije" in Kotor burnt down in the fire that broke out on New Year#s Eve.
