Niksic (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Montenegrin power company Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) has no money to pay for the imports of electricity and the current energy situation in the republic depends on how efficient the company is in collecting debts from its customers, director of EPCG Radomir Milovic told Mina-business. Power distribution companies would have to secure in the next few days 100,000 euros a day to compensate claims for April and cover the cost of imported electricity. To make the debt payment more efficient, the company plans more power cuts in the near future. Due to bad financial situation, EPCG has so far paid only 400,000 euros of 1.5 million euros needed for the overhaul of thermal plant Pljevlja.
