Podgorica, (Montena-business)- The European Agency for Reconstruction signed today a contract with a French consulting house Sofresco which will provide expert’s help for the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro in the process of managing state expenses. The contact is worth EURO 2,8 million, and it was signed by Luigi Sandrin from EAR and by Patrick Meurice from Sofreco. The Ministry of Finance will get expert’s help in the departments of the budget, vault intern control and at informatics technical equipment. The Minister of Finance Miroslav Ivanisevic said that the Ministry was now working on implementation of the vault and they made six new tax laws that would be discussed at a meeting of the Government by the end of this year. “This process will transparent and responsible system of managing public finance in Montenegro and it will have a positive effect on investors” said Ivanisevic. The program of supplying informatics technical equipment will provide 52 computers to the Ministry. The project of managing state expenses started when the new law on budget was adopted. It will consist of managing state expenses, creation of the Ministry’s policy and managing employees and equipment. According to the contract the expert’s team of one Irish, one Belgian and one French will stay in Montenegro for 15 months. Experts from the Spanish consulting house Altair and from the German Icon Institute will join the team. av/bd
