Total industrial production in January and February fell for 16.2 percents in comparison with the same period last year, stated the Institute for statistics. Industrial production in February was better than in January for 14 percents, while it was 17.2 percents lower than in the same month last year. Fall of production in electricity had the greatest effect on the bad results in the first months of the year, since it was 48.5 percents lower than in the same period last year. The same is with the sector of processing industry - it fell for 3.4 percents. The growth of 52 percents was registered only in the mining sector. Reduction of electricity production was caused by bad hydrological situation and break in operation of Thermo-electric power plant "Pljevlja" from February 15 - 21.
