Former general manager of Telekom of Montenegro, Jusuf Fetahovic, stated for Montena-business that Social-democratic Party was informed of expenses of 52 million DEM through documents they received at the Government, board of directors and council of Telekom.
“President of the council of Telekom is professor Vujica Lazovic, member of SDP who had nothing against the annual report. SDP has its representatives in the Board of directors, in the Government and in the Parliament. In all these organs the annual report on Telekom business activities was accepted and it was in hands of members of SDP,” said Fetahovic.
He said that all acquisitions and contracts were transparent, that public tenders were announced and accepted at the Board of directors of the company.
“The sum of about 30 million Dem was spent for investment into mobile telephony which was estimated as justified on the basis of the study of Electro-technical Faculty, and it was accepted at the Board of directors. Tender documents were prepared and tender for acquisition of necessary equipment was published,” said Fetahovic.
He added that three companies sent their offers and that commission prepared a report for him from which he proposed “Eriksson” as the cheapest and most favourable partner.
“I showed to the Board of directors the contract with “Eriksson” which was accepted. Representative of SDP was present on these occasions and he mostly restrained from voting or voted against proposals, but he has received all documents,” said Fetahovic.
He added that 13 million was spent on international and local telephone- exchanges on the basis of the contract with “Eriksson”. Six million DEM was spent for the system of optical cables and two million for purchase of equipment for transmission. Fetahovic claims that 620,000 DEM was spent for radio diffusion.
“SDP probably has personal reasons for wanting to assess my work. I have never and I will never send reports to political parties because it is not my obligation,” said, since yesterday, the former director of Telekom of Montenegro, Jusuf Fetahovic.
