For nine Months 18 Million of outstanding debts collected
Podgorica, (Montena–business) – From the moment of introduction of judicial management of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CB) on April 9, last year until now, 18 million DEM of outstanding debts have been collected, reported the bank’s judicial director, Mr. Darko Bulatovic. “Total outstanding debts to Montenegrobanka will be defined with making of the reprogram, and the list of debtors with separate amounts of debts will be publicly presented when their status becomes defined by reprograms,” said Mr. Bulatovic. According to Mr. Bulatovic, the greatest debtors of Montenegobanka are the Aluminium Complex in Podgorica ‘KAP’, then ‘Primorka’ from Bar, Budvanska and Ulcinjska Rivijera. Fifteen days have passed from introduction of the new judicial management, when Mr. Bulatovic replaced Mr. Ruzdija Tuzovic on this function, and the bank has not yet stated what recovery program would be applied and whether the bank will bankrupt. “It was suggested to make an effort for recovery program or to collecting of outstanding debts. That is why the present judicial management continues the reprogram plan,” said Mr. Bulatovic. He is of the opinion that after finishing of all reprograms, the quality of the bank’s assets would be significantly improved, and it would increase the bank’s chances to continue regular work after its recovery. Mr. Bulatovic said that in the next 15-30 days the status of 420 employees in Montenegrobanka would be solved, and added that the bank needed only 120 employees at the moment. He claims that the reorganisation plan has to be fulfilled, and he expects that the Government will take care about the foreign debts and savings in foreign currencies. tb/km/af
