Public utility service announced that it was necessary 150 thousand EUR for repairing, reconstruction and maintaining of over ten years old public lighting in Herceg Novi. This proposal is to be discussed about at the session of local assembly that is to be held on 29 March. "We worked on maintaining last year since we did not have money for a long time" said chief of sector for public lighting in this firm Branislav Bozovic. According to him only material for repairs of malfunctions and exchange of bulbs would coast 38 thousand EUR. He explained that the new equipment was necessary since 90 km long network was being maintained with only one vehicle 25 years old, with a basket and old instruments. "We have recently repaired malfunction due to which we did not have lighting on the promenade from hotel Plaza to military hospital in Meljine and there is again light along the motor way from the loop in Igalo to traffic lights. Now we have situation that 80% of public lighting in municipality works. Public utility service plans to finish installation of 60 chandeliers along the new route from Igalo to Topla till the end of the year. This, 60 thousand DM worth work, is jointly financed by municipality of Herceg Novi and Public firm Morsko Dobro.
