Four companies sold, 10.4 million German marks receipts
Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Montenegrin government#s Privatisation Council said that earnings from a sale of companies# shares in 2001 brought an income of 338,000 German marks, while earnings from the sale of property of various companies stood at more than 7.0 million German marks. Privatisation of four enterprises, hotels Maestral and As, a black coal mine and a bearings factory, were sold together for 15.8 million German marks. Buyers have so far paid 10.4 million German marks and promised to invest an additional 56.9 million marks. The black coal mine in Berane was sold for 615,000 German marks and the buyer promised to invest 19.3 million. Hotel Maestral in Budva was sold for 9.5 million marks and As hotel for 5.0 million. Pledged investment in Maestral stands at 14.1 million and in As 22 million marks. Japanese company Daido metal purchased Kotor-based bearings factory for 700,000 marks and promised to recapitalise the plant with 1.5 million marks.
