Montenegrin government decided to credit with 820 thousand EUR renovating of number of Montenegrin hotels that are during the next season to have foreign tourist for guests, announced minister of tourism Predrag Nenzic.
"Hotels that are to be renovated are hotel Plaza, Avala, Slovenska plaza, Kraljicina plaza, Palas, Panorama, Otrant and Grand Lido, and we shall also discuss on the possibility to make the agreement on modernization with the lessee of hotels Splendid and Plavi horizonti", said Nenezic after today#s session of Government.
He said that modernization of those hotels would coast 1,6 million EUR and that the government would provide half of that amount while the rest of it should be invested by hotel firms.
Nenezic explained that renovating was necessary due to high requests of foreign guests who should come to Montenegro next year after more then ten years.
"Project on renovating has been realized by German and our experts and it should provide fulfillment of minimal technical and safety hotel standards", explained Nenzic.
He added that money would not be directly given to hotel companies but that it would be distributed by a special commission consisting of members of firms, Ministry in-charge and foreign experts.
At today#s session the Government adopted the activity plan and budget of the Tourist Organization and it also discussed the report on its informative propaganda activities conducted during the last year.
