Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The Montenegrin government warned protesting workers at the Niksic Trebjesa brewery that they would be responsible for any consequences resulting from the halt of work at that factory. The government said it was prepared to protect the interests of all the brewery#s owners because in some ways the strike had not been organised in keeping with the law. It said that the brewery was losing around 900,000 a week because of the protest. The brewery#s majority owner Belgian Interbrew has since January 1, 1998 invested in Trebjesa 15 million euros.
