Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) – Several European banks have expressed interest in purchasing a controlling stake in Montenegrobanka owned by the Montenegrin government, the bank#s administrator Darko Bulatovic told Mina-business on Monday. "The state currently owns 91.5 percent of Montenegrobanka#s capital, and a strategic goal is to sell the the entire stake to foreign investors. So far, several European banks and funds have expressed interest in purchasing the bank, but no concrete offers have been made," he said. Montenegrobanka, which had been placed under state administration for a year, had its licence renewed in April.
