If the exchange is realized by the Central bank the opportunity of collecting the savings of the citizens will be missed
The business banks are to ask from the Central bank to leave them the complete conversion of mark into euro, considering it would be helpful in returning the foreign currency savings" said the director of Euro-market bank Branimir Pajkovic. He said that part of money that would be exchanged in the process of conversion would be kept on the savings accounts only if business banks realized those transactions instead of the Central bank department. Pajkovic claimed that business banks could realize that exchange of marks for euros for the citizens without provision if the Central bank compensates the expenditures. "If the conversion of mark in euro is realized through the department for payment turnover of the Central bank, part of money will avoid the business banks that will not even be given chance to collect the savings that is the base of development of national economy and no improvement in economy could be reached without it", said Pajkovic. According to him banks should offer to the citizens certain conveniences on the occasion of exchanging the mark for euro like for example freeing them form paying the provision for part of money in order to stimulate deponents that have more then limit for free exchange. "Regardless of the origin of money the citizens possess, our aim is that money to be put in the legal courses and to be used for financing the development of economy", said Pajkovic.
