Podgorica, (Montena-business) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, with assistance from the governments of Holland and Luxembourg, will start the realization of the project for production of seed potato and development of forestry in Montenegro this year. The concept of this year#s economic policy in agriculture, forestry and water management made by the Secretariat for Development of Montenegrin Government, also includes introduction of age pensions and insurance for farmers, as well as adjustment of veterinary service with European organisations. "Total growth of primary agricultural production this year will be about 3%, because it was planned that envisaged measures in agriculture, under standard climate conditions, should result in increase of plant production for 5% and cattle production for 2,5%" states the proposal of economic policy. The Ministry of Agriculture expects passing of the program on rational use of agricultural soil, rural development and modernisation of food industry this year. "It is necessary to reform and affirm cooperation in agricultural production and to apply quality standards in making of specific Montenegrin products" state the authors of the proposal. International projects for development of milk production in North-Eastern Montenegro, modernisation of dairy equipment and integral production in swine breeding would be continued this year. af/km
