Podgorica, (Montena-business) - Podgorica’s companies for local transport of passengers today released information about fares increase of their services to the Ministries of Trade, Economy and to the local Traffic Secretariat. The increase will be 1 December. The owner of the private company “Minic”, Nikola Minic said that this had been the result of a common agreement of the Local traffic company, the private company “Alivodic Baston” and “Minic” company. “New prices will be in use by 1 December, and the price of the ticket will be 70 pfennings instead of today’s 50 pfennings” said Minic. According to Minic, the price of services in local traffic hasn’t been changed for two years, even though the spare parts, repro-material and salaries went up. “The price increase happened after a long market research” added Minic. “Still, a lot of citizens use the service of irregular taxi cars which costs one DM, and that is the proof of their paying ability. That fact says that our prices still will be acceptable for the passengers” said Minic. “The local transport companies have no obligation to request an increase of their fares from the local Secretariat for traffic, because those companies are private not public” claims Minic. “In the market economy there is a free creation of prices that should be valid for all companies” said Minic. af/bd
