Podgorica, March 16, 2001 (Montena-fax) - Industrial production in Montenegro in February this year is higher for 13.3% in comparison with January. This sort of production is bigger for 6.2% compared with the same month last year. The report of the Institute for Statistics also states that industrial production in February this year is higher for 5.5% compared with the last year average month production. A 9.7% fall behind in production from the previous month has been reduced for 7.8%, and at the moment it amounts to 1.9%. Only the sector of processing industry increased its production for 6.6%. According to the statistics, the output of the ore and stone mining sectors went down for 8.9%, while the production and supply of electricity, gas and water were reduced for 13.6%.
