Instead of Being Free, the Software Costs DEM 29,000
Podgorica, (Montena - business) - Sharp#s distributor Digitron East Company from Belgrade, which delivered about 5,600 tax cash registers to the Directorate for Public Incomes last year, will pay DEM 29,000 for a software that enables price showing in DEM and in Euro. Director of the Sekas, authorised service of the Directorate for Public Incomes, Mr. Djordje Markovic, told Montena-business that this software was for free at the beginning of last year, when delivery of the cash registers started. "Sharp#s representatives from Japan requested from us the information, which was to be given to them until May last year at the latest, about the time when we would need the software so we could get it for free. As we did not know the exact date at that time, now have to pay DEM 29,000 for it" said Mr. Markovic. At the middle of September, the Government of Montenegro passed the decision about showing dual prices. After that, the Sekas had to install the software, to make the cash registers in line with valid regulations. "The Digitron East Company is Sharp#s distributor for Yugoslavia, and that company will pay the software, but the Directorate for Public Incomes would probably not reimburse that sum" claims Mr. Markovic. According to Mr. Markovic, the software for showing dual prices was installed in 96% of tax cash registers in Montenegro, and its installation started in the end of last year. km
