Insurance of export and investment of German entrepreneurs in Montenegro
The Hamburg company for insurance of credit Hermes Kreditversicherungs would begin insurance of export and investments of German companies in Montenegro in the second half of this year. At today#s meeting of Montenegrin and German entrepreneurs in the Chamber of Trade of Montenegro (PKCG), head of German economic delegation, Sonja Bauer, said that insurance of credits on political risk would have positive effect on international economic cooperation. "Establishing of mutual trust is necessary for successful cooperation between Germany and Montenegro. At first, we shall not invest in great infrastructure projects, but in small and medium companies and we hope that after that successful realization, some bigger investments would take place," said Bauer. The company Hermes covers about 50 percents of the market of insurance of credits, and with its representative offices and joint-venture associations it covers about 40 percents of the world market. Bauer said that German export last year was increased for 30 percents and Montenegrin share in it was 6 - 7 percents. Vice-president of the Government of Montenegro, Branimir Gvozdenovic, said that ambient for establishing of cooperation between these two states had been made in Montenegro with introduction of economic reforms, passing of new laws and with reduction of inflation and interest rates. He said that the Law on foreign investments and Law on foreign trade relations were of the greatest importance, since they removed import restrictions and reduced tariffs. PKCG states that the main purpose of the meeting of economic delegations of Montenegro and Germany is to inform the German colleagues of Montenegrin companies and economic situation.
