Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - Serbia#s Transportation Ministry has not yet responded to the Montenegrin offer of a joint ownership of airports in Montenegro. "We have received neither a reply nor an explanation about the delay. We can no longer trust the promises from Serbia," Transportation Minister Jusuf Kalamperovic told Mina-business on Saturday. Late in February, the Montenegrin Transportation Ministry proposed a joint management of airports in Tivat and Podgorica with the majority stake belonging to the Airports of Montenegro company. "JAT#s ownership of around 14 percent has been estimated based on its investments in the two airports, while the new management calculates its share based on the total value of the two airports. The difference between the two calculations is vast," Kalamperovic said. The total value of airports in Tivat and Podgorica is estimated at around 38 million U.S. dollars. JAT wants Montenegro, which seeks the majority ownership, to pay out the entire amount. Serbian Transportation Minister Marija-Raseta Vukosavljevic said late in March that any reply required a decision by the Serbian government. Kalamperovic says Montenegro cannot force a speedier answer from Serbia and has to wait.
