Council for privatisation of the Government of Montenegro would discuss at its next meeting the request sent by Aluminium Complex from Podgorica as regards the estimate on beginning of privatisation of primary production of the factory.
Member of the Council, Branko Vujovic, said that the request was received at the end of last week.
"It is not yet possible to state exactly when the primary production of KAP would be privatised and final decision would be reached when we notice positive signals from potential foreign investors," said Vujovic today for Mina-business.
He reminded that tender for privatisation of the processing factories of KAP was renewed because there were no interested buyers for the previous one.
He also said that the Council would also discuss the request of the Expert coordinative organ that requested from its members to state their attitude on previously held assembly of shareholders of KAP. This company did not invite the new shareholders, which is not in line with Regulation on alterations of the regulation on acquiring, use and issuing of privatisation vouchers.
According to this Regulation, companies privatised through MVP are obliged to organize assemblies of shareholders, old and new ones, within 30 days from the day it entered into force.
Answering the question how much money has been spent for Mass voucher privatisation process, Vujovic said that educative campaign and public relations were the only services financed.
"American Agency for international development (USAID) allotted about 500,000 DEM for this part of the process. There were no other expenses since constitution of the institutions of capital market do not relate to expenditures of MVP," said Vujovic.
