Several companies, whose share of the capital is to find new owners during the Mass Voucher Privatisation remind their workers that they could invest their vouchers in the companies they work in, and are of opinion that they together had a better vision of development than privatisation funds.
Hotel-tourist company “Korali” from Bar and “Zetatrans” from Podgorica also advertised themselves in TV spots on this occasion.
“We want to enable to our workers to become major shareholders of the company,” explains financial director of HTC “Korali”, Mira Srbic.
She said that the company survived in very difficult business conditions in the last ten years. Wages are regularly paid and property of the company is preserved.
“We are afraid of management by privatisation fund because we do not know what measures they would take if they become majority shareholders,” said Srbic.
“Zetatrans” is of the opinion that their workers had better development vision of the company than the companies that manage privatisation funds.
Financial manager, Cedo Milic, explained that the union of the company reminded their former employees to take care of their vouchers.
“We invite them to possibly invest their vouchers into the company they used to work in” said Milic.
He added that it was mistake that the law on companies did not permit engaging sales agents for collection of vouchers to companies, because it put them in unfair position in comparison with privatisation funds.
Directors of several more companies in Podgorica stated the same evidence to us, not wanting us to state their names or names of the companies they worked in. One of them told us that he publicly stated to his workers that he would invest his vouchers in the company he worked in and reminded them that they could do the same.
