Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved an 825 million U.S. dollar three-year loan to Yugoslavia, and Montenegro can hope to get ten percent at the most, chairman of the council of the Central Bank of Montenegro Ljubisa Krgovic said. "We expect that in cooperation with the IMF lawyers, and in line with the Fund#s regulations, a final decision is made on how much money will be received by Serbia and Montenegro respectively. The approval of this three-year agreement means a support to reforms in Montenegro and Serbia, which would have been halted if the IMF board of directors had voted against the loan," Krgovic told Mina-business. The agreement envisages the disbursement of funds in 13 instalments of 63.5 million euros, and the loan will be repaid in 10 years, with a 4.5 year grace, and an annual interest rate of 3.0 percent. Krgovic was in Belgrade on Monday to discuss with Yugoslav deputy prime minister Miroljub Labus and Yugoslav central bank governor Mladjan Dinkic the implementation of the agreement between Serbia and Montenegro. "We discussed the issues related to Yugoslavia#s relations with the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the European Union. We agreed that a formula needs to be determined for the division of funds which Yugoslavia had already got."
