Last year#s Montenegrin export worth about 178 million USD was by 10 higher then in the year before while at the same time realized import of 529 million USD increased by almost 50%, was announced by Republic Bureau of statistics.
Official data show that over 97% of the total export or almost 173 million USD represented export of final products, while the rest of it was exported for further processing.
According to data of Bureau of statistics approximately 88% of all the export during the last year was realized in developed countries and it is by 27,4% higher then in the year before while the export to the countries in transition decreased by almost a half.
During the last year Montenegro imported goods and services worth 529 million USD and 99% of it was import of final products that was by half higher then in 2000. It was also announced from the Bureau that during the last year import of gods intended for further processing was reduced by 22%.
The biggest part of the imported goods, approximately 63%, came from developed countries and it was by 21% higher then last year. At the same time import from underdeveloped countries increased by approximately 49% and the import from the countries in transition increased by over 45%.
In December last year Montenegrin import amounted to over 6,5 million USD or it was by 54% higher then in the same month last year, while the export amounted to almost 34 million USD of it was by 160% higher then in December of 2000, was announced from Bureau for statistics.
