Podgorica, (Montena-business)- At the tender announced for renting out a part of the Zeljezara Steel Factory from Niksic two foreign companies applied, the Russian company Rusmont Steel Corporation and the Supa SA company from Switzerland. Supa’s offer was unserious, according to the management of the Steel Company from Niksic. As Ranko Nikolic, secretary in Niksic’s company said, lease of the factory is predicted to be 5 years, even though the Russians asked for a period of 10 years. “The offer of the company from Switzerland was unserious and inappropriate by its purpose and formality” claims Nikolic, who didn’t explain why the factory’s management made such a conclusion. By the end of year, said Nikolic, the management of the Zeljezara Steel Factory will decide whether or not to accept the Rusmont Steel Corporation’s offer. If the offer will be accepted, the management will suggest the Privatisation Commission to accept the offer as well. All further activities about reaching a formal agreement will be done in cooperation with the Privatisation Commission and the Government of Montenegro. kð / bd
