Till the end of this week, the Liquidation Council of the Business Court would appoint the liquidation manager for SIK Javorak from Niksic. After that, the meeting of workers would be organized, said president of the Board of strikers, Radosav Koprivica. He said for Montena-business that minister of economy, Darko Uskokovic, recently promised assistance in procurement of financial means for payment of seven due wages. “Some media have stated this morning that minister Uskokovic announced payment of four wages. The truth is that he promised his assistance only in procurement of a bank credit or mortgage over company’s supplies, which would alleviate the payment of due wages,” claims Koprivica. He said that employees of the company also hoped for reimbursement for 20 workers that were identified as a technological surplus, reminding that 74,000 DEM had been paid last year for the previous 20. “According to the data of the Legal department, Javorak employs 56 workers, but their number is undoubtedly higher,” said Koprivica and added that the Board of strikers would not occupy itself with the exact number of employees at the moment. Timber supply is expected these days in Javorak, and next week a group of workers would begin maintenance, reparation and preparation of machines for production.
