Irregular business activities in Montenegro have reached disturbing extents since partial and sporadic attempts of their elimination have not been successful, said president of the Board of directors of Montenegro Business Market, Slobodan Djurkovic. At the assembly of this association, that was conclude on Wednesday night, he sad that the main cause of black economy in Montenegro were illegal import of goods, unadjusted fiscal policy and monetary-credit discipline, as well as illegal employment. He stated that all attempts of elimination of black market have so far proved unsuccessful because they dealt with removal of consequences, not causes. "It is confirmed with present situation in economy that is characterized by illegal market of cigarettes, oil derivatives, and textile products," claims Djurkovic and adds that only a synchronized action of all competent subjects could return the black economy into legal framework and reduce it to an acceptable level. The Assembly supported the Government#s program for elimination of black economy and insisted in realization of the dynamics of its realization.
