Podgorica, (Montena – business) – The meeting of representatives of the second synchronzation zone of electro-energetic interconnection, who are members of the Electro-energetic Coordination Centre (ECC), where Montenegro is member as well, will start today in Belgrade at 2.30 p.m.
As the ECC reported, the continuation of negotiations which started today is agreed to be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. The participants will try to solve the problems of some countries’ debts, caused by non-permitted overuse of electricity, and also create a platform for normalisation of this year’s work in the system of interconnection.
The biggest debtor for last year was Montenegro, then Macedonia and Albania. From the beginning of this winter until now, Montenegro illegally took 56 million kilo-watt-hours from the neighbouring countries’ system.
At the meeting, the Elektroprivreda Company of Montenegro (EPMN) will present its platform that was made together with the Ministry of Economy for paying off the debts to the members of the interconnection system. EPMN’s representatives will give official information about the details of the platform after the meeting ends.
