General strike of Montenegrin health workers is not impossible, but the Ministry in-charge and the trade union will do anything to avoid strike, estimated Minster of health Zarko Micovic.
"we cannot claim it is impossible to again have the situation similar to the one we have with the ministry of education and science and the trade union of education, but we shall do anything to resolve the potential problems. Strike is counterproductive method for resolving the problems. It is counterproductive for trade union, for government, for the ministry in-charge and especially for people who need health care", said Micovic for Independent TV channel Montena.
At the session held yesterday, trade union of health asked from the Government to help in increasing their coefficient and foundation of the housing fund for health workers.
Micovic says that the Ministry has been for some time now intensively cooperating with the trade union in-charge in trying to find the model for resolving the problems of the employed in health.
"Result of that continuous cooperation is demand of Ministry of health on the Government to decide upon resolving the problem of health workers. We are trying to jointly reach the solution that would satisfy needs of Trade union with observing the current law", said minister.
Micovic considers that apart from increasing the coefficient, which is demanded by the trade union of health, it is also important for the employed in health a housing fund to be founded.
"Way of foundation of the housing fund proposed to Government by the Ministry of education and science is almost identical with the model that is most probably to be applied in the sphere of health", he considers.
According to him, housing fund could be founded by participation of the state, through the government#s commission in charge of resolving the housing problems, trade union, health institution and local self-management.
"By resolving the housing problems we shall succeed in amortizing objective and accumulated discontent of health workers occured due to their poor material status, that is due to low salaries and unresolved housing problems", said Micovic.
