Both business deals of the factory “Mladost” from Bijelo Polje with Italian partners would be continued after the contracts expire at the end of the year, said general manager of the company, Milorad Rmandic. Contracted cutting out and sewing of 30,000 pairs of upper parts of footwear per month, which is done in the factory for foreign partners would surely be continued, said Rmandic. He also said that the first deal was agreed in the middle of the last year with partner from southern Italy, and the other in May this year with the partner from the middle region of Italy. Once a month material from Italy arrives to “Mladost” and finished products are delivered. Average price per pair is 3,300 Italian liras. “The factory was offered for sale to Italian partners, but they thought the price too high because of non-productivity,” said Rmandic. He added that they negotiated with the foreign partners on increase of the contracted price per pair of product, requesting that it should be adjusted with the increase of the minimal labour price and life expenditures in Montenegro. Italians refused this suggestion because of the increase of price above European mean.
