More than one-third of bills unsold
The Central Bank of Montenegro sold at yesterday#s auction the Treasury bills worth 1.56 million EUR - 37 percents less than offered. On every 100 EUR of nominal value, buyers paid an average of 98.8 EUR, which means that in 56 days they would have rate of return of 7.8 percents. The offered rates of return for Treasury bills of nominal value of 500 EUR were 7.5 - 8 percents. CBCG organizes the sale of this short-term dematerialised bills once in two weeks, on behalf and for the Government of Montenegro. Means obtained from their sale is used for maintenance of current liquidity.
