Municipal trade union agency (MTUA) of Podgorica spent over 132 thousand DM last year - 70% for gross incomes, taxes and expenses for services, has been announced at today#s session of this organization.
According to last year#s final bill that has been adopted, trade union of Podorica realized 854 DM. This organization gave 1,3 thousand DM for material help for workers during the year.
Members of MTUA have concluded that their financing depended exclusively on the Association of independent trade unions of Montenegro concerning the fact that it paid about 87% of last year#s income.
"According to data from final bill it is clear that budget of Trade union of Podgorica is indigent and insufficient for satisfying the needs of 35 thousand members of trade union from this town", said president of the MTUA Srdja Kekovic.
It has been concluded at the session that the organization did not have enough money for activities they intended to conduct. They have emphasized need for reform of the Association of independent trade union because it is "huge and bureaucratic " organization.
MTUA has also discussed about the report of the working group in charge of assigning free lots to workers of Podgroica and its president Zoran Masonicic has concluded that the competent municipal commission has not had success so far in carrying out this activity.
"Municipal commission was established a year ago but we still do not have any results of its work even though the problem should have been urgently resolved. That is why it is necessary presentation of Trade union and association of workers who were assigned lots to be coordinated before the municipal commission", considers Masonicic.
Decision on assigning of free lots was reached 11 years ago and the only success it has realized so far is obtaining of building permit for constructing on location in suburban area called Rogami. Municipality of Podgorica temporarily stopped works on 204 lots that had already been assigned due to unresolved property and legal relations and the commission had proposed earlier to members of Trade Union construction of building instead of lots.
