Forthcoming tourist season would be the most successful in the last 12 years, considering the fact that Ministry of tourism and competent institutions would intend to attract greater number of foreign tourists on Montenegrin coast, said minister Predrag Nenezic today.
He said at the press conference that renovation of several hotels that foreign guests would visit is to begin next week, adding that a great part of preparation works has been done.
"Renovating would be supervised by foreign experts because they can assist us in fulfilling of minimal conditions that would satisfy foreign guests," said Nenezic.
He said that 50 percents of money for reconstruction of one part of hotels would be provided by the Government and companies would be able to use it through credits of Montenegrin Commercial, Euromarket, Hypothecate and Atlas Bank.
"Business banks would provide the same amount, that is 820,000 EUR and money would be paid back in the budget in October," said Nenezic.
Nenezic announced that the Government would discuss the proposal of the Law on tourism next week and in case it were passed, it would be directed to the Parliament of Montenegro immediately in order to put it into force before tourist season begins.
He reminded that beaches of Montenegrin coast would be open for tourists as of May 1, and that arrival of first tourists from Germany was expected two weeks later.
