Teams of the Electro-distribution from Bar began today the new action of cutting off electricity to irregular bill payers, that is, customers that have not paid their obligations on time.
"Last year the collection was 120 percents, which means that significant share of previous debt had been collected," said director of the company, Novak Durutovic.
He said that collection of debts was also difficult in objects that did not exist any more and in those where refugees and displaced persons were placed in Sutomore and Canj.
"The debt is 150,000 DEM in these objects, and it would probably not be paid very soon," said Durutovic.
He also pointed out frequent illegal taking over of electricity.
"In almost every control, in about 30 households, we discover one to six consumers that are illegally taking the electricity. Teams of Electro-distribution charge the penalty of 3,300 DEM for this offence," said Durutovic.
