Belgrade (MINA-BUSINESS) - Under a new Yugoslav draft customs law, foreign investors will be exempt from customs duties for imports of new or used equipment, Belgrade daily Glas Javnosti said. The law has been adopted by the federal government and submitted to parliament for approval in an emergency procedure. Humanitarian organisations will also be exempt from customs on goods used for humanitarian purposes. Customs exemption will not apply to passenger vehicles and computer game machines. The new law is aimed at creating legal conditions which will encourage foreign investors to invest in domestic companies or to set up their own companies in the country.
